Ghaeth Almaghoot (25) is een klarinetspeler die studeert aan het Codarts conservatorium in Rotterdam. Hij behoort tot een generatie veelbelovende jonge Syrische muzikanten die de laatste jaren naar Nederland vluchtten. Ghaeths artiestenbestaan in Nederland staat in scherp contrast met zijn leven in Syrië en de vlucht naar Nederland die hij ondernam in 2014. Om te begrijpen waar hij vandaan komt en wat hem beweegt, schetsen we een beeld van zijn leven in Syrië en zijn vlucht naar Nederland.
